The Great Model Railway Challenge

Coming down the tracks later this year.

A brand-new 64ft long OO gauge model railway is being built for the third Making Tracks event in Chester.

The five teams compete in the final on the theme A Journey Through Time creating models based on the Cold War, the Battle of Britain, the Industrial Revolution, The Vikings, and Ancient Egypt. The teams are: Red Brick Railway, New Hall Street Railway and Chester Model Centre, Wirral Model Railway Society, Stafford Railway Circle and Pendle Valley Railway Modellers and Ellesmere Port Model Railway Society.

The live heats will be shown on Channel 5 this Autumn.
